Privacy Policy
GoodNorm · Last updated October 7, 2026
GoodNorm ("we", "our") is a privacy-first incident reporting service. Neighbors report property damage or lost items, reports are moderated, and the reporter's personal contact details are never shown publicly. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Incident details you submit: date, approximate time, location text, a map pin (coordinates), property type, your description, and optional vehicle details or photos.
- Contact information: your name, email, and optionally a phone number. This is stored privately and is never displayed on any public report or search result.
- Anonymous reports: if you choose to report anonymously, no name is stored publicly, but we keep your email privately so you can retrieve your own report later.
- Unlock requests: when a property owner requests a reporter's contact details, we store the owner's name, email, phone, and their match claim.
- Payment information: the one-time release fee is processed by a third-party payment provider. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
2. How we use information
We use your information to publish moderated reports (without your contact details), match unlock requests to the correct report, release reporter contact information only after a paid, verified request, send you confirmations and status updates about your report, and operate and secure the service. We do not sell your personal information.
3. Who can see what
- The public sees: property type, date, approximate time, location text, map pin, description, and any vehicle details or photos you chose to attach.
- Only you and authorized GoodNorm staff can see your name, email, and phone.
- Contact details are released to a property owner only after they pay the release fee and their request is processed.
4. Photos
Photos you upload are stored privately. They are accessible only through the service and are never exposed as public downloads without your report's context.
5. Moderation and retention
All reports are reviewed by moderators before they become searchable. We may reject or remove reports that violate our Terms of Use. You may request deletion of your report or your personal information at any time by contacting us using the details below, and we will remove it within a reasonable period.
6. Cookies and local storage
We use browser local/session storage to keep you signed in to the service and remember your access session. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
7. Security
We protect your data with access controls, private file storage, and moderation workflows. No method of transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps consistent with the sensitivity of the information.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location (including state privacy laws in the US), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to receive a copy of it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@pulsedataengineer.com.
9. Children
GoodNorm is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
